KSFGC examined hay sales in Kansas over the two-year period, 2021-2022, using data reported in the Kansas Direct Hay Report, from USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service and the Kansas Department of Agriculture. The above chart represents 1.79 million tons of alfalfa sales and nearly 5,000 reported transactions. Does it pay to deliver or is it best to sell it F.O.B.?
