TALLGRASS LEGACY ALLIANCE – We’re now about two weeks away from our TLA Summer Ranch Tour. This is just a quick reminder that the tour will be Thursday, June 27 at the Mashed O Ranch, 2455 Hwy 177, south of Council Grove. Chris Jorgensen, ranch manager, and his staff will be our host for this meeting and tour. The 14,000-acre Mashed O Ranch is one of the storied ranches of the Flint Hill with a long and interesting history.

We will begin at 12:00 noon with a Lunch & Learn presentation by Chris followed by a short business meeting then a tour. During the L&L Chris will introduce us to the Deseret Ranches, which owns the Mashed O Ranch and other ranches, and then discuss the history and cattle and grassland management on the Mashed O Ranch.

The Mashed O Ranch will provide the lunch for this TLA Summer Ranch Tour so, in order to have an idea of how many meals to prepare, we ask that you RSVP back to me, Roger Wells, at rnwells@fairpoint.net.  I will track the number and let Chris and the folks at the Mashed O know the count.
