KSU Forage Team Receives Grant at KSFGC Annual Conference

MANHATTAN – Dr. Doo-Hong Min, Assistant Professor, Forages, Kansas State University, received a $2,000 grant from the Kansas Forage and Grasslands Council to assist in funding the KSU Forage Team’s trip to the 2016 National Forage Bowl. The grant ceremony followed Dr. Min’s keynote address at the Kansas Forage and Grassland Council’s Annual Conference on December 15, 2015.

Both Kansas State University and Industry experts gave presentations coving multiple topics including the Management of Old World Bluestem, Alfalfa Genetics, Hay Marketing and Contract Liability, Alfalfa Insects, Cover Crops as a Forage and much more. “We’d like to thank all those that attended,” said Black, “we had eight top-notch breakout sessions and the feedback we’ve received from those attending was great.”
