A Patch Burn Grazing meeting will be held near Pratt, KS, August 26-28. Patch burning is the practice of using prescribed burns on sub units (patches) within a pasture throughout the grazing season to move the grazing pressure, thus creating a shifting mosaic on the landscape or overall management unit.
The program will include presentations and field tours, along with a Fire Equipment Exposition and social running from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm on August 25.
For more information contact Sherry Leis. Information regarding registration costs, agenda and accommodations is available through the meeting flier PBG2015.
