K-State Agronomy Forage Bowl Team Wins Nationals

MANHATTAN –The K-State Agronomy Forage Bowl Team won the National Forage Bowl Competition at the American Forage and Grassland Council Annual Meeting held in St. Louis, MO from Jan. 11-14, 2015. It was the first time for K-State to compete at the American Forage and Grassland Council Annual Meeting, team members include: Dan Carlson, senior, Lenexa; Garan Belt, senior, Dunlap; Jessica Bramhall, sophomore, Seneca; and Cole Renner, freshman, Norton.

The K-State Forage Bowl Team was coached by Dr. Doohong Min, Assistant Professor, Forages, who said, “I’m really happy for the team, they worked hard last semester, practicing once a week on top of all their other studies and activities. We also want to thank the KFGC for their financial support in defraying the cost of the trip.”
