Do you graze your wheat? Do you graze your wheat early in the season then take the crop for grain?

Do you graze your wheat?  Do you graze your wheat early in the season then take the crop for grain?  If you said yes to either of these questions, write on your maps the intended use.  If you get crop insurance, you will also need to report it to them same way.  Please note intended use is what you planned on doing with the crop at planting.  Farm Service Agency (FSA) can not change intended use after the acreage reporting deadline of Dec 15th.

  • Intended use to graze only= write on map wheat for graze
  • Intended use to graze then take the crop for grain= write on map wheat for grain/graze

Operators, please stop by the FSA office to pick up your map packets.  They are printed and ready.  Operators will pick up map packets and write on maps.  Get them dropped back off to FSA and we will get them loaded.  Once loaded we will give you a call they have been loaded.  We can send 578 acreage reports through OneSpan to digitally sign, or we can make an appointment to sit down with you to sign the reports.  All Operators will receive a 578 Summary sheet to get to crop insurance. FSA asks that producers please return map packets ASAP to allow the staff enough time to get the entire county loaded by the Dec 15 deadline.
